Campervan & Motorhome Electrical Diagnostics

When something electrical is not working and nobody can tell you why, Fiadh runs systematic diagnostics to find the real fault. Not part-swapping and hoping — methodical fault-finding by people who understand the whole system.

What is electrical diagnostics?

It is the process of tracing a fault to its actual cause, rather than guessing. Camper electrical systems are interconnected — batteries, charging, inverter, solar, switching and wiring all affect each other — so a symptom in one place often originates somewhere else entirely. Good diagnostics follows the evidence to the source.

Why did my garage not find the fault?

Most general garages are set up for engines and chassis, not habitation electrics, and intermittent faults are genuinely hard to catch without the right approach and instruments. It is common for a van to have been to two or three places before it reaches us — the fault was never properly isolated, just guessed at.

Intermittent and 'phantom' faults

The hardest faults are the ones that come and go — power that drops out occasionally, a charger that misbehaves now and then, a drain nobody can pin down. These need patient, systematic testing rather than luck, and they are exactly the kind of thing we will stay with until it is found.

What you will get from us

A clear account of what is actually wrong, why, and what it will take to put right — in plain terms, so you can make an informed decision rather than take a leap of faith.

Enquire

Tell us what the van is doing, and what it has done in the past, and we will take it from there.
