Campervan & Motorhome Electrical Repairs

Fiadh diagnoses and repairs campervan and motorhome electrical faults of any make — from a leisure battery that will not hold charge to a system that has stopped working altogether. If the electrics are not behaving and you need it fixed properly, that is our core trade.

What kinds of electrical faults do you repair?

Anything on the 12V or 230V side of a camper: dead or failing leisure batteries, charging that does not work or works too slowly, inverters and chargers that trip or fail, solar that is not contributing, wiring faults, fuses that keep blowing, and systems that were never wired correctly in the first place. If it is electrical and it is in a camper, we can trace it and repair it.

My leisure battery keeps going flat — what is wrong?

Usually it is one of three things: the battery itself is failing, it is not being charged properly, or something is drawing power when it should not be. The fix depends on which — and guessing wrong gets expensive. We find the actual cause before recommending anything, rather than selling you a battery that was not the problem.

Can you fix another converter's work?

Yes, and we do it often. A lot of camper electrics are installed by people who treat them as an afterthought, and the results come to us. We will assess what is there honestly, tell you whether it is a repair or a rework, and not pretend a botched install is a five-minute fix when it is not.

Repair, or redesign?

Sometimes the right answer is not to repair a failing system but to fit one that is actually sized for how you use the van. We will be straight with you about which makes sense — a repair that will fail again in a year is no kindness.
