Campervan & Motorhome Servicing

Fiadh services campervans and motorhomes — habitation and electrical alike — to keep them safe, reliable and ready for the road. The same hands that build our bespoke vans look after yours, which means we know where these vehicles fail and what to look for before it becomes a problem.

What does a campervan service cover?

A proper service is more than an MOT for the living side. It covers the electrical system — batteries, charging, connections and safety — alongside the habitation: damp, seals, fixtures and the things that wear with use. The engine and chassis are serviced separately by a standard garage; what we look after is everything that makes it a camper rather than a van.

How often should I service the habitation and electrical system?

Annually is the sensible rhythm for most vans, and ahead of a big trip regardless of when the last one was. Damp and electrical faults both tend to develop quietly — an annual check catches them while they are cheap to put right rather than after they have done damage.

What is different about servicing a gasless or all-electric van?

A traditional habitation service includes a gas safety check. On a gasless van there is no LPG to inspect — but the electrical system is carrying far more, because cooking, heating and hot water all run on it. So the emphasis shifts: lithium battery health, charging performance, connection integrity and load safety become the priority. It is a different check, and one that suits how we work, since the electrical side is where we started.

Older and self-built conversions

We are happy to service vans we did not build, including self-builds and older conversions. These often benefit most from a fresh expert eye — we frequently find work that was never quite finished or done to a safe standard, and we will tell you plainly what we find.

Why service with Fiadh?

Because we build these vans ourselves, a Fiadh service is not a checklist run by someone who has never made one. We understand the systems because we design and install them — and if a service turns up something that needs more than maintenance, we can put it right under one roof.
